Port Oneida Fair

Friday- Saturday, August 8-9, free

Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Michigan


Every second Friday and Saturday of August, the Port Oneida Rural Historic District awakens from its peaceful slumber and comes alive with activity true to the period when it was a community of robust settlers.


Tillers takes part in demonstrations at the Dechow Farm with teams of oxen mowing hay in the fields. We also bring up volunteers who demonstrate butter churning, blacksmithing, and other crafts.

Michigan Fiber Fest

Saturday-Sunday, August 14-16

Allegan Co Fairgrounds, Allegan, Michigan


Join Tillers International at one of the largest fiber festivals in the Midwest!


Tillers will be at the Festival this year with a demonstration of flax processing from freshly dried flax through spinning. We will also have our merino wool combed top, natural dyed yarns, socks, and more for sale. Come by for a chat, buy some products, and enjoy the festival. The Festival also has a wide range of fiber workshops to take. Pre-registration is required and they fill up fast to plan ahead!

13th Annual Southwest Michigan Community Harvest Fest

Sunday, September 20, 2015, 11:30am-5:30pm, $15/car

Cook's Mill Learning Center, Scotts, Michigan


This year's fest will be a renewal of an emphasis on local food, small local farmers, and draft animal power and other sustainable agricultural techniques. The speakers, who will be part of a panel discussing what needs to be in place to ensure a strong local small scale farming community, include Mark Kimball of Essex Farm in New York and Stephen Leslie, author of "The New Horse Powered Farm".
