Hand-Held Rope Maker by Tillers International
This small, hand-held rope maker is adapted from traditional design. As with the pedestal model, one handle turns three cranks to twist a three-strand rope. The set includes a paddle to keep the twisting strands separated and a turnbuckle to control the merging at the far end. This set allows you to quickly demonstrate rope making almost anywhere, in a historically authentic method. Back at home, it can be set in a stand or clamped in a vise for longer duration work.
