Wooden Pitch Fork -- by Tillers
Bent from white oak or ash, these all wood forks add
to the historical atmosphere of any farm operation. The two-tyne
option is great for pitching bundles of grain when bringing grain
from the shock to the thresher. The three-tyne version is
best suited to working loose hay -- especially pitching it up onto
a wagon in the field. The four-tyne is good for handling finer
material. While these are light and easy to hoist high in
the air, they do not have the strength for prying manure from a
winter stall. The job of loosening packed manure was reserved
for the dung hook.
