Tillers' wool socks

Tillers maintains a herd of merino sheep for education at our Cook's Mill Learning Center. The beautiful merino wool is sent to Zeilinger Wool Company in Frankenmuth, Michigan, a 100-year-old, small, family owned wool processor, where it's made into the beautiful socks you'll find in Tillers' General Store. Tillers also sells grass-fed, free range lamb out of our well-stocked General Store freezer.

New in 2010 are Tillers' Spinning Wool I - 195 and II - 196 and Natural Wool Dyeing - 198 classes! Our spinning classes are taught by veteran spinner Gracie Dailey. The dyeing class is taught by Lori Evesque, one of the original founders and committee chair of our annual Southwest Michigan Community Harvest Festival.
