Fabricating a Single Row Planter - 330

250.00

Last year, Tillers International staff worked on developing several planter prototypes to test in various parts of Africa. We designed a model that can be locally fabricated with simple metal cutting tools, arc welding, and a drill press. During this class students will get a chance to see and try a variety of historical single row planters and assemble a single row planter based on Tillers’ model. Students will assist in cutting, bending, and drilling parts, and may assist in welding if they have previous experience. Students will get a set of plans for the Tillers planter at the end of the class. Dave Kramer teaches Shop at Comstock High School and is an essential Rural Innovations Specialist for Tillers International.
